Badges, We Don't Need No Stinkin Badges

In all my Heroic Dungeons this weekend, my Healer has been a Resto or Tree Druid. I don't pretend to understand how other classes work. I'm doing good to understand my own class well enough to do a good job. I can't tell you the first thing about how Resto Druids, Resto Shamans, Holy/Disc Priests, or Holy Paladins heal. Well, I could tell you a bit about the Holy Paladin. The one thing I know with certainty is that these two Resto Druids (Baconstrip and Celoria) play extremely well.

Twice over the weekend, I was able to run Heroic Mechanar with what has become a regular group of Mal Katai players. I'm not sure what Celoria is after for Badges, but I really enjoy helping her get it. Our group, as usual, was Me (Prot Paladin), Celoria (Resto Druid), Splinterdc (Warlock), MaxPayne (Warlock), and Raistalan (Mage).

The 5 of us have run Heroic Mech together several times now. We know what to do, and how we all work together.

This run started out pretty fun for me. After clearing the the very first room, we were pulling a Robot that patrols down the left hallway. We pulled and the two mobs stationed near the hallway decided to come to. One of the Warlocks said "Run Out" into vent as we were still pretty close to the door. I responded with something to the effect of "Just heal me" and proceeded to tank everything in the pull. It was close. I blew a Healthstone, and a Health pot. The group was impressed. The thing is they only see my tanking. What really pulled it off was Celoria healing.

I don't know why I always feel a bit guilty asking for a new healthstone. I mean, the thing ain't sitting in my inventory to look pretty. As my warlocks said, it's better for me to use them than not use them.

We did 2 runs, both of which were pretty clean. We still need to work on the final pack in the gauntlet before Pathelon. I received some really nice complements on my tanking from the group. Basically they don't want to run the instance unless they have a very select group of people they know and trust tanking, and I'm one of those people. I don't think I can communicate how much I appreciate that.

I managed to snag the Vanquisher's Legplates for my Lol Ret set. Now why am I building a Ret set? Mainly, because I can. I might decide to go Ret for a weekend. So if I'm building a Ret set why oh why did I turn down the Hammer of Naaru off High King last Tuesday. Well, its one thing to take a set of plate DPS pants when you are the only plate wearer in the group, but it's quite another thing to roll on a 2her that the Holy Paladins could use for Soloing/Questing. It's always a good idea to keep your healers happy.
